Kudos to that Handsome Man/Happy Anniversary

1. One year ago on 5/29 I married Mr. UEOF after dating for 5 years...Happy Anniversary to us!!

2. Mr. UEOF aka my hubs, has a job that he works his tail off at. They use and abuse him. I would use the word slave to best describe this situation.

We're talking going in at 6 AM and leaving at 10 PM.

Well, he has applied for another job (within the same organization) doing exactly what he went to college for and has an unadying passion for.

On Friday he had an interview and he did an excellent job...to quote him, "I blew it out of the park." Now is the ever stressful waiting part.

Here he is in brand new suit looking Rico Suave'...

Sending positive vibes and Hail Mary's that he gets this position!!

Bless His Heart...

I will be the first to admit, I'm a little bit of an obsessive compulsive crazy person...at times. I like things organized and clean. I have a list of things I do on a daily basis. I check my bank account daily. I fold up my towels after I use them. I lay my clothes for work, including jewelry, out the night before.

My husband puts up with my craziness on a daily basis. He puts up with my bossiness and snarky quips.

"Umm...you failed to fold that hand towel."

"You were home all day and you didn't realize the cat didn't have food?"

"I noticed you left you gym shorts on top of the clothes hamper...why?"

Typically he doesn't deserve such brazen and cheeky comments, however today...he did. This is what I saw when I got out of work this afternoon:

Secret photo snapped of my husband.

Nothing too outrageous, right? Just a man sitting in his "man chair" playing video games with the screen door open, enjoying the summer-like weather.

WRONG--what this picture fails to show is the air conditioning blasting a cool 70 degrees on said man in man chair.

Madge: "Do you have the door open and the air conditioning on?"
Husband: "Umm yes, I guess I do."
Madge: "How long has it been on with the door open?"
Husband: "Not sure."

Now, don't get me wrong--I'm not THAT crazy, we just talked yesterday about being proactive about keeping the electricity bill down this summer.

Sometime I wonder about men!

I ordered these plaques from Magnolia Lane for my store a while ago; we cannot keep them in stock and have had to reorder them so many times. Even though I'm a Yankee living in the South, I think they are adorable--finally broke down and got one, I have it hanging over my laundry room door.

I especially think #9 is quite apropos for my sweet husband's actions today. For about a year after moving down here I had no idea why everyone blessed everyone else's hearts...I thought Southerner's may just be pretty religious. My friends in the north may not know what "bless your heart," really means...here's the Urban Dictionary definition.
