The Pursuit of Hapiness...

...to me is organization. There is nothing better than going to bed realizing that you have accomplished all you needed to accomplish in that day, and you are ready to go for tomorrow. A few months ago I came across this blog.

The guy has a very interesting concept, "Standards." In a nutshell, it is a daily list of generalized things to accomplish. I am one for lists--things to do lists, grocery lists, songs to download lists..I HEART lists. So what makes your concept of Standards so engaging is that you are being held accountable for the things you want to do on a daily basis, but may slack and not do...i.e. something as simple as water your plant.

More to come about my Standards soon, I've been going strong since New Years, have gotten both my mom and Mr. MTM involved, and passed them along to MP this weekend.

The real organizational gem I found yesterday just happens to be an application on my phone. It's called My Closet. General concept: You take pictures of your wardrobe pieces (including accessories) and your phone organizes them in to categories, can suggest ensembles, you can plan outfits by day/week, and you can pull up previous dates to find out when last day was you wore that cute pencil skirt. I'm sure there's even more that this amazing application can do--just haven't gotten there yet. I know how I'm spending Sunday!

I heard of this band before Thanksgiving, but really have heard an influx of their songs on XMU lately. Really liking this tune. So I leave you XX - Island in anticipation for a chillaxed Friday, plus who doesn't love Jools Holland!
